M.O.O: Hi Annalise, thanks for being our first Model of the Month!

Annalise: My absolute pleasure, thanks for having me!

M.O.O: Your photos are amazing! How long have you been a modelling for?

Annalise Thank you! I've been modeling for quite some time now... I was scouted by an Italian photographer on Bondi Beach when I was 15 years old, but I only stared full time modeling whilst at University at the age of 21.

M.O.O: You were one of the first models in Australia to use the Internet as a business tool. Beauty and brains! Jackpot! Are people often surprised that such a beautiful woman has such a good business sense? Is it fun overturning a stereotype?

Annalise: Yes, it is fun. And it's nice to be able to pleasantly surprise people in that respect!

In fact a lot of people seem to have a hard time dealing with the fact I look OK, and am reasonably intelligent, and am somewhat successful.

To be honest with you, the busty blonde model = stupid tag used to rile me, and I used to feel the need to defend and justify myself constantly. I'd always say "just because I work as a model and have blonde hair, how on earth does that equate to me being unintelligent? I'm half Norwegian, I have blonde hair, I'm a naturally curvy girl, I speak 5 languages, I've been to university..."

I don't let it worry me anymore; there are better things in life to occupy my time and thoughts. Besides, it doesn't reflect very well on their own intelligence if they are going to judge me solely on my physicality, without having even met me.

M.O.O: Your website receives over one million hits a month from all over the world. Your fan base is huge in Europe. Has your success surprised you?

Annalise: Absolutely! I never imagined I would be where I am at today. I didn't aspire to be a model or actress, I didn't ever think of myself as remotely attractive. My career has been a complete surprise to me, and I'm very grateful for it. It's been a wonderful ride.

M.O.O: You are the quintessential Aussie girl. Why do you think European and American men love Australian girls so much?

Annalise I guess because Aussie girls are generally down to earth, friendly and sporty. We're generally not shy of a good beer with the boys at the local pub either! That's a pretty good combination to find in a woman I'm guessing...

M.O.O: What is the most unusual request you have received from a fan?

Annalise: Hmm....there have been a few....

The internet is an amazing thing isn't it. I have fans from all over the world email me, from the smallest village in Bosnia to NY city, Tahiti, China, Scandinavia, Italy, The United Kingdom, the Solomon Islands... and the list goes on.

M.O.O: Define style on your terms?

Annalise: Individual. Eclectic. Comfortable. I like to mix vintage finds with designer pieces. I prefer the hippy rock chick edge rather than dressing in head to toe designer gear. I like to wear clothes that suit my personality and body type rather than what's necessarily in fashion. I love to mix and match, splash colour around, have fun, and let my clothes represent my moods from day to day.

M.O.O: What makes a man stylish in your eyes?

Annalise: I love it when someone "owns" their look. A guy who wears clothes he is comfortable in, that represent who he is as a person. I love a funky quirky, look, but I also love an immaculate slim fitting suit on a guy. It just depends on the person, their style, their personality.

There is nothing worse than a guy trying too hard to be fashionable though... leave the tragic fashion victim moments to us girls! Ha ha.

M.O.O: What is the most common fashion faux pas a man can commit?

Annalise: Too much hair product!

M.O.O: What is a hands-down style secret that every man should know?

Annalise: Clean nails, clean teeth.

M.O.O: What is your favourite label on MaleOrderOnly.com?

Annalise: I love what Australian Label FASHIONASSASSIN has been doing for guys.. it's the whole military/urban thing - sooo hot! The fits make every guys look sooo sexy - im a sucker for a guy in ASSASSIN!

M.O.O: What pieces are a must-own for this month?

Annalise: Well FASHIONASSASSIN has great tee shirts - one with an elephant, the other has zebras and is in bright yellow! I'm such a fan of the new ASSASIN "studded Italian flyer pant".

M.O.O: You have already wowed Australian audience with your starring role on the cult hit TV show Fat Pizza? Do you prefer modelling or acting?

Annalise: I love both, and I'm fortunate enough that both have been very good to me so far, but if I had to choose one, I'd definitely choose acting. It's a wonderful challenge, I really enjoy it. Particularly comedy.

M.O.O: What is next for Annalise?
